From the competition of an elite sporting career in softball, to the adrenaline of foot chases and hostage negotiations, Inspector Ilsa Wakeling has always loved a challenge. Named in the Australian softball squad in the early to mid 2000’s and playing in the Italian professional league, Ilsa always had a childhood dream of becoming a police officer. In 2006, it became a reality. This is an inspiring conversation as Ilsa shares the electrifying moment as part of the Critical Incident Response team that forced her to rethink her focus and priorities. It led to a brilliant and intentional career plan! I love an inspiring story and Ilsa shares hers so openly. I continue to be inspired by what we can learn from elite athletes.
